A Blended Life

So, what came first, the Chicken or the Egg?

I am pretty sure you have once heard the saying, “blood is thicker than water” and probably attributed it to blood-related family. The words of that quote has taken us on an incredible journey over our short period of time on Earth but it has brought us to a place no one imagined. For example, what does blood or water have to do with it? We each have blood and water within our circulatory and lymphatic systems if you want to be technically scientific. I mean, we each came into this Earth by way of Mom, one way or another as far as we know. Honestly, we’ve come to the conclusion that there is more that makes us similar than what makes us different, no matter the path you have taken to bring you to this point neither the cacophony of voices screaming in opposition.

We as a young, apostolic movement comprised of a Mother, Father and five amazing children (a set of girl-boy twins among them) but not withstanding another two Fathers, Mother and four children truly understand the blunders in the blend (see what happened there? lol) No one knows how the heavenly realms aligned for such a pool of happiness to manifest, I wouldn’t dare ask either. We have simply come to understand that if you cannot live a conscious day-to-day life in LOVE (like, truly caring and not having prescribed answers for seemingly small altercations and mistakes as well as the small victories and xoxo’s) then it does not matter how ‘normal’ and ‘traditional’ perceptions may stand from outside-the-box looking in. Love has to be evident and tough and patient and kind and everything described in (1 Corinthians 13:4-13 – Bible!) in order for you to take advantage of what we have discovered after the dust settled and the transitions ceased. But, that is ALL THERE IS TO IT – transitions, misunderstandings, over-exaggerations, literal v. figurative speech, etc…

If you can find it in your heart to forgive another by placing yourself on the chop block expectant to find innerstanding (understanding) for faults whether foreign or your own, you will have taken an immense step toward healing and wisdom. Which is found, in my opinion, where your mind’s thoughts about what your heart feels are, you know, “Where the Wild Things Are”.
